The Registration "Home of Homer Soccer" is not currently available.
HSC has spent the last few weeks going over the Restore Illinois phase 4 guidelines for youth sports, as well as the Illinois Youth Soccer Associations protocols and guidelines. We have also talked with other local sports organizations, the city of Lockport, and the Will County Health Department.
After a thorough examination and discussion by the HSC board of directors, we have unfortunately decided that, as a 100% volunteer organization, we would not be able to provide season that would protect our participants and their families in accordance with the local and state guidelines. There for we will not be holding a Fall 2020 Homer Soccer Club Season.
However, in an effort to give our players an opportunity to get some soccer playing time this fall we have arranged for a soccer camp through Chicago Inter Soccer Club. Chicago Inter will be holding a camp for HSC players starting on Aug. 25th. The camp will have one day per week of training conducted by the Chicago Inter professional training staff and then have one day per week for games. Cost is $150 per player. Please follow the below link for more information and to register for the camp.
Assuming the local public health situation has returned to normal, Homer Soccer Club fully intends to have a regular soccer season in the spring of 2021. I look forward to seeing our players and their families at the fields in the spring. Please stay safe and healthy.
Note: Chicago Inter, and the Chicago Inter camp mentioned above is in no way affiliated with Homer Soccer Club or any of Homer Soccer Clubs administration. The above email is meant only as a notification of possible opportunities to participate in youth soccer this fall.
The Homer Soccer Club would like to give a special thank you to Homer Township for the use of Morris Park! We are lucky that families not only can enjoy playing and watching soccer but can also enjoy the park's playground and fishing pond.
